The Minefield

The minefield doesn’t mean to hurt anyone. If you comment on the craters that mark its surface or the maimed and dead, it can quickly point out that it is not to blame. Every explosion was caused by someone else, who walked where they shouldn’t have, stepped on something they shouldn’t have, triggered something they shouldn’t have. The minefield is innocent. If you avoid the minefield, it will be indignant. If you warn others away from it, it will be livid. How dare you judge it for something it has no control over? So bring your friends and family, and frolic across its surface. Tread lightly and never make a misstep and everything will be fine. And if it isn’t, just remember. The minefield didn’t mean to hurt anyone.
